There's no "I" in team.

Firstly, I really don't care what my kill/death ratio is.  I'm really not concerned about my kill count or my number of headshots (although that *tink* sound is somewhat satisfying).  I play W@W because it's fun. What happened this morning makes it interesting and somewhat humerous!

This morning I was playing HC Team Deathmatch.  As the game started (Cliffside), somebody said "I've got the highest K/D ratio in this room."  All during the game this tool was slagging on everyone on his team.  At one point he even said, "Guess I've gotta do it all myself!"  At this point, I became an observer, a non-killing peacnik, I wanted to see this chump "do it all"!  Apparently, this slagathorus didn't quite grasp the concept of a team. He probably doesn't realize that CTF is really about capturing the flag.

So anyway, seeing as how I'm a nice guy, I gave Mr. Do-it-all a gift. The gift of a loss. No team kills, Just camped in a corner and watched.  Did I mention that I'm not too concerned about my number of wins?

Cheese?

So I'm playing War - Outskirts (hardcore, of course) and I was lagging big time. I was close to ranking up to Commander, didn't think I was gonna make it last night as my connection indicator was mostly red with brief forays into yellow. Needless to say it was frustrating (if perchance the system chose me to host, I apologize)!

Anywho, when I finally spawn at the start (over by the Courtyard flag and yes, I'm the last one in), I dart to the Church flag. One of my teammates is already taking the flag, so I dive to the ground on the othr side of the flag as far away from him as I can yet still am helping to capture the flag. About that time an enemy runs in. I empty a whole clip of STG-44 lead into him then my teammate fires a short MG burst and the "bad guy" goes down. No kill for me, I only get an assist (damn lag)!

When we finally capture the church flag, I sprint to the library. I enter the building and leap down to the floor below to capture the flag (with a teammate or two).

After capaturing that flag, I dash over to Grandpa's house and belly-flop on the floor next to the flag (again with a teammate). After a bit (seemed like forever), I hear a 'nade bouncing around in the room so I prepare to die and indeed I do in short order - teammate does too.

Immediately after respawning, I sprint to back to Grandpa's house and flop to the floor next to the flag. Teammate runs in and helps me take the flag.

Game over. We win! I have 93 points.90 for capturing flags 3 for the assist. I'm the top scorer for the match. Sweet part is I get promoted to Commander!

In the lobby there was the usual "What happened?!?" and the some Timmy starts whining about that HarmfulDistress guy was top scorer with no kills. Several others start bitching and moaning pretty much the same. If I would have had my mike plugged in, I would've asked them: "Want some cheese to go with your whine?"

So many addictions - so little time!

Facebook!

Guy that I graduated from high school with sends me a friend invite on that Facebook thing. Used to be for youngin's but not anymore.

After registering, I dove right in. My wife has had an account for awhile so she could view my kid's "walls". Since I've joined, she has increased her presence on the site, to the point of becoming a "facebook whore" not quite but almost. Sad to say, me too.

It's really cutting into my save-the-world shoot-n-scoot or sit-n-snipe time! At least I have an Xbox tab on my profile!

I'm on your side, dimwad!!

So, last night I was playing Hardcore TD (COD W@W, of course) when I run into a barn on Seelow. There's another dude in there who's on my team. Guy turns around, looks at me for a few seconds, then rushes me and tries to stab me! I hop around and try to avoid him. After a few whirls he let's loose with a pistol.

Killed by my own teammate! No biggie thinks I, after all, I tend to shoot before I see the name/color (sorry about that - boy do I feel like shit when I do that). Anyways, I'm spectating my teammate that whacked me and he kills another teammate. When I re-spawn, I'm near that barn, other team has a tank nearby so I scoot into the barn. Guess what? I'm again a victim of 'squadacide'.

We end up losing, thanks to the dimwad killing his own teammates. What a shitty was to lose! I wish dorks like that would stick with "core".

Don't stab me just coz I'm in your squad.

Why?

I prefer to play CODWaW (Domination) and at the start of the game, your team spawns in a little area that is close to one of the three flags.  Once the game starts, some of the team sprints to the nearest flag to capture it. The more teammates caputring the flag just reduces the time to capture the flag. Everyone that captures the flag gets 15 points yet often there is some dork stabbing his teammates (or even shooting them). Since this is core (hardcore doesn't even have Domination) you can't inflict damge upon your teammates.

So, the question is: Why? Are they just making sure they remember how to melee? Perhaps they have unlimited ammo and are just warming up their gun? Am I missing something here? Maybe I should bash my teammates as well?
