for my boys

Driver and i's boys said last night/early morning....that they got one of the best gifts they have ever had.

 

i am Jordan and Jeremy's stepdad, i met them when they were about 1yr and 4 months old.  they are 15 now and are mine in every way i can think of.  thier real dad, Drivers ex, has stayed in touch over the years and has tried his best to be involved in thier lives. thats a little back story.

 

Jordan and Jeremy's Dad has been going through a hard time.  his marriage of 9 yrs is inches from divorce.  the other night Driver told him that if he wanted he could come visit J &J, he is always welcome in our home.  yesterday morning i got a call, he was almost to Dallas and was wondering the drive time.  then said, "this is ok with you?", i reiterated what Driver had already told him, and proceeded to give him weather reports for his 1000 mile journey.

he arrived about 1 AM and woke our kids up.......what a wonderful thing to behold! our boys could not believe thier eyes and thought they were dreaming.

i came from a broken home, and my Dad did this one year.......i will remember it forever.

the best thiing we can give our children, is time with the ones we love.
